Growing up in rural New Brunswick allowed me something that has been difficult to experience now that I live in the “big city”…….the experience of star-gazing! I could wander into the fields, and except for the occasional interrupting neigh of a horse, be able to dream a child’s dreams with only the light from the stars and moon interrupting the solitude.
There is a magic in star-gazing and one which local enthusiasts love to share with individuals and families throughout the region through an organization called the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. They are conducting several upcoming events, FREE, that are ideal both for families and just individuals wanting to meet other like-minded people in the area, OR just wanting to be introduced to star-gazing and its magic! You can follow them on Facebook too
So head out this Saturday evening, Sept 21st, to the Carp Public Library at the Diefunbunker and experience the outer galaxies!!!
