Last night we, myself and a group of our past clients and supporters, attended a wreath making workshop with Carp Garden Centre on the Carp Fairgrounds. This is something that Carole hosts every year in December but it was the first time I have gone. I am not what you would call a “crafty” person. I can’t count the number of “Pinterest fails” I have had so I was pleasantly surprised when the wreath I created turned out beautifully.

The process is simple, you make bundles out of multiple types of evergreens and clamp them on a wreath base and then decorate as you will. Carp Garden Centre provides a selection of lovely bows and natural materials such as red dogwood, pinecones and ornamental grasses. Before I knew it I had the fullest, fluffiest, best-smelling, all natural, handmade wreath for my door!

We provide a light supper of wine, cheese and salads and with a small group of 15 maximum the conversation is wonderful. Thank you to Tim and Dulcie of Carp Garden Centre for a great evening!
