The World Remembers – Taking place at the Government Conference Centre at 2 Rideau Street and having begun Wednesday, this will run for a full month until November 11. To mark the centenary of World War I, the names of all 680,000 killed in the war will be projected in light on the conference centre in remembrance. The National Women’s Show – Taking place Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am on, this event will be at the Ernst & Young Centre and is only $12. Grab your girlfriends and head over to enjoy fashion, fun and food. Exchange ideas, celebrate being a woman…enjoy!

All Canadian Vocal Jazz – Celebrate Canada’s jazz musicians at Pressed Cafe on 780 Gladstone. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.  Saturday at 7:30 pm.

A Night at the Races 2017 – TROtt’s annual fundraiser is here. Taking place Sunday, October 22 at 6:00 pm at Rideau Carleton Raceway. The Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa-Carleton puts this event on every year. Tickets are $45 and give you access to an all you can eat buffet, $5 of vouchers, and participation in the silent auction.
