Writing Killer Web Content – Head down to Impact Hub on Slater Street to learn how to create amazing web content to help your business! Impact Hub puts on so many seminars and lectures and they are fantastic. This one takes place February 22 from 1:00 to 4:00 for a fee of $99.
Symphony of Heroes at Centrepointe Theatre – The Ottawa Pops Orchestra performs the Symphony of Heroes! A great event to introduce children to the world of orchestra and symphony with fun characters and a great story line. Taking place Friday at 7:30 pm and tickets are $15 to $20.
613 Flea – 613flea is a not-for-profit marketplace where artisans, designers and makers come together with antiques dealers, food merchants and vintage clothing vendors to create an amazing market that is fun, fabulous and free to attend! Located in the historic Aberdeen Pavilion, visitors will find an ever-changing inventory of eclectic goods, handmades, vintage finds and one-of-a-kinds. Taking place on Saturday February 24 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, entrance is FREE.
2018 RCMP Musical Ride Open House and Food Drive – Taking place at the Canadian Police College at 1 Sandridge Road, this event has FREE admission and is taking place Saturday, February 24 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Come join to meet the riders and horses, tour the musical ride centre, take place in lots of children’s activities and see police displays and demonstrations. This event is great for the whole family! Donations to the Ottawa Food Bank would be so appreciated. A spectacle known around the world, the RCMP Musical Ride is performed by a full troop of 32 riders and their horses. Their performance consists of intricate figures and drills choreographed to music. These movements demand the utmost control, timing and coordination.
The Musical Ride performs in up to 50 communities across Canada between the months of May and October. They help raise thousands of dollars for local charities and non-profit organizations.
The Musical Ride provides the opportunity to experience the heritage and traditions of the RCMP. The riders act as ambassadors of goodwill who promote the RCMP’s image throughout Canada and all over the world.
