Mother’s Day is upon us and we are busy finding ideas of what to do to celebrate in Ottawa and to make your mom’s day…one that she will never forget.
The Cumberland Heritage Village Museum is celebrating Mother’s Day with an opportunity to meet famous Canadian women throughout history, painting activities, track and field to enjoy the amazing weather (fingers crossed) plus much more! OR head over to Pinhey’s Point Historic Site for outdoor adventure with cooking classes, orienteering, a movie screening and more. Nepean Museum is offering a retrospect on the area’s mothers and their contributions to the community…learn all about them and take home a craft as well. This one would be great for mothers of young children! Another option is the Billings Estate National Historic Site where you can enjoy a traditional three-tier tea service for $20 per person.
Stay tuned for further ideas as we find them! Also comment to let us know if you have any ideas as well.
Happy Mother’s Day!
