Tulip Festival – Beginning today, the Canadian Tulip Festival begins this weekend and runs until May 22nd with many tours and events. Events include a Mother’s Day Brunch, swing dancing, fireworks and more throughout the two weeks the festival will run. Don’t miss out!

Bird Day – Head to Brewer Park tomorrow from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for annual Ottawa Bird Day. There will be demonstrations, seminars and more. Educational and fun for the whole family or the bird enthusiast. A bird banding demonstration will begin at 8:00 am with the festivities officially kicking off at 10. Admission is completely FREE.
Celebrating Canada’s 150th with Art – The Ottawa West Arts Association celebrates Canada’s 150th with a show at the Goulbourn Recreation Centre this Saturday showcasing works from various artists from various parts of the country. Free admission.
Seminar: Improving Income in Retirement – The Ottawa Public Library offers this FREE seminar for those ages 50 plus about improving your income and security in retirement years. Taking place at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the Carlingwood branch at 281 Woodroffe Avenue and will be approximately 90 minutes long. Highlighting important items to take into consideration prior to retirement, this is ideal for those planning ahead for retirement in the coming years.
